This is a story I'm starting as a way to feed my addiction to historical fiction, mainly during the Tudor era. This takes place during King Henry VIII's reign when he is still married to Queen Katherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn isn't in the picture yet, but as the story progresses so will Anne's power.

In the beginning Cecily Lowe is a fourteen year old girl living on the outskirts of London, England with her Merchant father and bitter mother. During this story you will see her survive her father's manipulation, her mother's badgering, her unwanted marriage, and so much more. You will see her overcome obstacles put in her way by the king's court and how she will guide others when she is older and wiser, falling in love with her story along the way.

From what I've read so far this is a great story with lots of promise! I just wanted to suggest it might be good if you could slip Cecily's name in the very beginning. Maybe I read to fast but I didn't catch her name until I was practically through with the first chapter. (love the name by the way) And I can't wait to read more! Keep writing! :D
