Wow, this story is really great! I love magical realism, so I'm really glad you tagged it as such so that I stumbled upon it! The premise of the story is easy to relate to since we've all had some of kind of experience with ordering something on a whim - or out of sheer curiosity.
You keep the reader hooked with strong imagery and hint of humor: I love the Schrödinger’s Cat tie-in, haha. I was surprised that the narrator didn't throw him/herself in at the end, but I still think that the story ended quite well. Good job!
