Aw, this is so sad! But I could just feel Anala's heartache over her mother's sickness. It was lovely! ;D

I give it an 8 out of ten, partly because cancer stories are a little too sad for me usually. It reminded me of this Buffy episode ("The Body") which is probably the highest compliment I can give. It was so sad and yet so simple.

10!!! I literally have tears in my eyes. Good job writing about such a strong subject. You made it heartfelt, but didn't over-do at all.

I know I've read this already, but I just had to go over it again. It's deep emotion and imagery really made me feel how the main character was feeling. I absolutely love the way you described everything, it was pure beauty. I'm a sucker for sob stories, and you have an amazing one here. I wish you luck in the contest! From one writer to another! :)
