Wow, Ann, this is so epic! I'm a huge nerd when it comes to the Justice League and especially the Bat, and I love how you brought his narrative to life! I was really sad about Dick, Barbara, and Alfred (kind of glad you didn't dwell on their deaths too much... probably would have cried or something), but I think you really captured the emotion through Bruce's eyes. You totally nailed the Joker's voice, and Harley Quinn's... and pretty much everyone in the Justice League, too. :D I used to be obsessed with the TV series and while I was reading your piece I heard everyone's voice in my head. The storyline was great and really believable (as much as a superhero story can be, haha), and the title is completely perfect! The only thing I would say is although I understand that Batman is a very solitary, internalized character, I would have liked to read your interpretation of how he SEES his friends, not just their backstories (which you also nailed). I think that the dialogue was great, but I would have loved a little physical description, too. :) Other than that, awesome job!

Amazing! Batman is about the only DC hero I like, and this is a good read. Especially the way you handled Joker's crazy dialogue. I'm surprisingly more knowledgeable with DC comics than I think since I didn't need to look anything up on Google when you mentioned the secret identity names of the Justice League and Batsy's sidekicks. Great job, you really killed it with this one! :;)
