Got this from a group and haven't read it yet because I'm forever bugged by people who post suggested song playlists and don't provide a playlist for convenience. So, I spent the last half hour searching Youtube picking out what I thought was the best version of each song. You can find it here: House of Sticks: Book One Playlist I'd recommend putting this in the description, so that it won't disappear under other reviews. You're welcome!

Hi, me again! :D I read chapters 4-5. They were good. A few grammar mistakes here and there, but on the whole, it was good. Keep in mind, please, the cons are only my own opinion.

Cons: Chapter 4 1)Parter, I believe, should have been Partner and Sercrtly, Secretly. Also, I’m not sure creapy is a word. I believe you meant creepy.

Chapter 5 1)The sentence, “She drug him out of dining hall” is a bit awkward. You might want to change it to something like “She dragged him out of dining hall”. Also, the sentence “She drug me out here, Professor” has the same issue, with me at least.

2)The whole pacing of the action part of the chapter, in the town, seemed a bit rushed. First there’s a murder, then they go into town, then they’re attacked, then they kill people, then they leave. I was left a bit winded honestly. I would have liked a bit more detail. Why did they have to kill these men? How did they kill them? Why didn’t this killing affect Kat (you never mentioned her killing before and doing something like that is a major life changing experience for a person)? Where did all the vans and men come from? Why did no one notice this? I know, it’s a lot of questions, but I only want to help you make this even better.

Pros: Chapter 4 1)The part about Kat listening in on the secret conversation of the Headmaster and Professor was intriguing. Very well written and suspenseful, just the way I like it. I was completely drawn in. I wanted to know more. And, I agree with Lucy, the Professor is creepy!

Chapter 5 1)While I did say all that stuff about the pacing, I did actually like chapter 5. It was intriguing and the part about them almost being kidnapped was both scary and dramatic. I liked how Noah reacted to Kat’s yelling at the very end. It shows us a somewhat different side of him.

Well, that’s it for now, but I’ll be back soon to read more. Keep up the nice writing.
