Free read, the beginning drew me in. I seriously love this and I'd definitely read it if it was published! Your beginning is excellent and engaging-made me really want to read more. If I could, I'd give you a heart for ever chapter. :)

Yeah, I still love it. In a lot of these sort of stories written by "amateur" writers, they aren't well written or thought out and the plot is lost. I should know, I'm writing something very similar, but yours is fantastic. It's wonderfully written, and you at least seem to have a good handle on what you want to happen. Can't wait for more.

Post. This. Novel. Like asap! I seriously need more. The language, the beautiful way the words flowed, and the way you kept my attention throughout the entire piece left me CRAVING more. I am kinda addicted. This is great. :D Mady

Wow, this is definitely something I would read, and it is well-written and well-developed on top of it all! Honestly, your prologue is the weakest section because of some minor awkward phrasing; I didn't know if the Iain you were talking about was the father or the son, so I got a little confused. I re-read it, and figured it out. :)

The descriptions are vivid, and the characters are interesting, and I think a little different from what I normally read in fantasy, which is great. I love the mythology of mages and their cats' eyes; that was a great touch. I'm sure you'll develop this later, but why did Iain despise mages?

I can't wait to read more of this, and I promise I will continue to read and review this. :)
