Description:

Grace is a gorgeous southern belle, except for one thing: she is blind. Peter is an attractive and smart slave who is sold to the Fielding's plantation. When Grace and Peter meet, the spark they feel is undeniable. But how can they love each other when their love is forbidden? **WORK IN PROGRESS**
*******************************************************************
NOTE: To get this piece right, I know I must research. I haven't so far, so right now I am going off of what I already know about this time and slavery. If you find anything that you know is inaccurate, please feel free to point it out. I feel like the plantation rules that I have set in place right now is inaccurate and I plan to look into it and change it. This is just a draft, so don't worry. :)

Ch. 5 did not disappoint. there were a few periods missing but that was the only thing I saw that needed to be worked on. Your characters continue too develop nicely and I love the fact that Grace trusts Peter more than she trusts her best friend. It helps create the emotions and establish that he understands her in a way no one else does. they both are in different forms of slavery. while his is physical and obvious, hers is more subtle. she does not have the freedom to do things herself and is forced to rely on others while being a fiercely independent woman.

I love it! Keep it going! I am excited to see where this goes. I really do believe this story has a great deal of potential and could get published. looking forward to the next chapter soon!

This is a project that should not be abandoned. This is extremely well written. You have a strong, solid plot here with amazing characters. The first chapter at first seemed a bit discombobulated from the rest of the story but it has grown on me.

It shows how your characters naturally think, and the similarities between them before bringing them into the story. this is great, please continue it! There were very few typos in this, and since I wasn't actually planning to read this I didn't take any notes. seriously though, keep working on this. It is a strong work and can go really far!

You have a great understanding of the time period and the things people experienced during that time period. I love Grace's strong fiery personality but sweet spirit. She has fire but lives up to her name by extending Grace and compassion to those around her.

I am really looking forward to seeing you tackle this again, and will be looking for the update on my "desk".... good luck!
