Very good. It is everyone's fear to not get accepting into their dream college. I liked the twist about how she actually got in. I hope you do well in the contest! :)

Wow...what a twist. As a recent college student myself I can sympathize even if I don't feel this way because it holds truth. Great job. No hard feeling that we are both in the same contest:)

Hey Shelby here!

I really like this story. I don't think people realize how much we dedicate our lives for one specific goal. And when we fall short we are devastated and don't understand how to start picking up the pieces. You represented this very well in your story. And then I got this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach for all that she has sacrificed. She had lost opportunities she could have made that would have made her teenage years more enjoyable. Now that she has accomplished her goal does it really make her more happy? I loved that part. Awesome job. Thanks for letting me read your story.
