Wow... what a heartrendingly emotional story. Your character has so much depth; I can sympathize with him wholly. I suppose I'm a 'genius' too (IQ of 169, etc, etc.) so I can relate.
A very powerful story - though not exactly much going on plot-wise, something you manage with delicate eloquence. The poem you write between paragraphs is also great. I liked that touch; added an extra depth to it.
