There were a few grammatical errors here and there, but nothing major.

Your dialogue needs commas. Ex: “‘I love Doctor who,’ said Kira.” Or “‘Don’t blink,’ he cautioned.” See? It’s a fairly common mistake. I didn’t know this until someone pointed it out a year ago… but like this “‘Well, I guess this is goodbye.’ He moved to hug her farewell. ‘I’ll miss you.’” The action is its own sentence. Anyway, sorry if that’s confusing. Otherwise, this was a cool idea and you made the beginning suspenseful in way to pull someone in. Keep writing!
