The beginning of the story actually happened to me today but the second part is well... I guess you'll figure it out.

Wow! Just wow...what are the chances with meeting up with the same person again? You told the story perfectly! I was able to imagine a shy high schooler not having much to say, and even though now she is in college she seems a little shy still, but it feels like she has more of a settled confidence. Awesome work! :D

Beautiful piece of writing. I completely understand the whole shy girl thing.

Hi Karen! I enjoyed reading this story; it's very sweet and sad at the same time - but with a hint of hope at the end that shows the narrator has, in fact, changed - even if she doesn't believe it herself. I liked all the small details about school life in the first part, especially the dress and the atmosphere of finals week. The chance meeting in college in the second part was very cool and, in a lot of ways, realistic to how people do meet each other in college (though I've never spilled anything, thankfully. But bumping into people? Yes).

Good job!
