However I am willing to swap just let me know if you would rather swap. So sorry if this bothers you or if you have all ready received this. :(

Welcome Tributes and Viewers to the Annual Hunger Games!

This is the chance for you to show off your fabulous writing skills, as well as become a part of something that will hopefully transform into an epic battle between Figment users around the world. As you begin to write your way through an arena filled with twists, turns, and fellow tributes (as well as a few nasty surprises of our own), your writing skills might just make the difference between seeing your tribute fall to the merciless clutches of death and seeing them emerge as victor.

There is just one twist: your tribute, just as in The Hunger Games, must be selected randomly through a drawing.

If you would like the chance to compete in the 70th Annual Hunger Games (bear in mind, this is BEFORE Katniss Everdeen) you will have to join our group!

Hope to see you there! And may your writing be ever in your favor...

Hello!

This is Yessi from Calling All Novelists, a group you may or may not remember joining. :)

I have four updates for you.

1: We have a new contest that was created by you, a member of the group. Due to suggestions to have a contest based on a photograph prompt, the Calling All Novelists group has provided what the public wanted. I hope to read your entry soon!

2: A new discussion has been added for any questions about the group you may have. I felt as if there was no clear place to go to ask about what was on your mind, but there is now, and I hope to answer all of your questions soon!

3: I'm avidly searching for thoughts/opinions on the typewriter which serves as the photograph representing our group. What are your thoughts? Do you have any picture ideas in mind that you'd like to suggest? If so, let me know on my profile page. (Links are helpful.)

4: Since Joni's unplanned retirement from Calling All Novelists, Rae and I have been searching high and low for a willing member who'd like to step up to the plate, and become a moderator. If the job interests you, please head to the discussion labeled Moderator Applications. I look forward to finding our new moderator.

Also, on a more personal level, I've decided I want to be more involved with the members of the group, being as we're all there for a reason. I was thinking about sending out messages like this, at least once a month, to update group members on what's going on in the group, and letting them know about the roller coaster ride happening behind the scenes. (Such as the sudden absence of one of our moderators, Joni, a little while ago.)

I am hoping to have a personal friendship with each and every member. If you'd like to get to know me a little better, too, it'd be nice if you could let me know, and stop by my page to give me your opinion on this update. Was it helpful, informative, or do you just consider it another piece of spam on your wall?

Any opinions are taken under serious consideration. If you have any questions for me, either personally or for the group, please feel free to let me know. Lately I've been feeling as if Rae (our group moderator) has been running the group. I adore Rae, don't get me wrong, but I want to get to know everyone personally, too.

If you wouldn't mind answering a few questions, it'd be much appreciated. (If not, I understand completely.)

Question 1: Who do you honestly feel is more involved with the Calling All Novelists group? Rae or myself? Who is most helpful and approachable? And, depending on your answer, how do you feel we could improve?

Question 2: What do you hope to see added to the group? What could be improved? (I'm especially intrigued by your opinions on the judging system/contests. Do you feel your contest entries are being judged fairly? If not, what could we change? Also, what are some contest ideas you have? What could we do to make the contests interesting to everyone? Do you have any new contest ideas?)

Question 3: How well/poorly do you think I am doing as group founder? Where do I excel, and where am I lacking? Any tips/suggestions? Would you like to get to know me better personally, through conversations and swaps, or would you rather I back off a bit? :)

Question 4: What do you think about me having updates such as this regularly? (Except, I hope to make them a bit more personal based on our growing friendship.)

Question 5: Have you enjoyed your time being a member of Calling All Novelists. Has it helped you in any way at all? If so, how? If not, why do you think that is?

Question 6: Do you have any questions for me at all? Nothing is off limits. :)

Please, respond to these questions on my profile, if you choose to reply at all.

Thank you for your time and for being a loyal member of Calling All Novelists.

-Yessi

P.S. I'd like to assure you that any information, whether a question, comment, or complaint, is always kept strictly confidential.
