Hey there Sarah!

Poetry season is in full effect! And over at The Virtual Cavern, we are currently looking for aspiring poets to help promote, advertise, and grow their work - all a part of our “Poetry Podcast”. Depending on the amount of submissions each and every week, we will release a daily, brief, 3-5-minute podcast basically featuring an aspiring poet, and reading one of their written poems/pieces they have provided to us. We will first discuss a little bit about the featured poet based on the bio they send us, read one of their works, and close with where listeners can find and read more of his or her works, such as right here on Figment!

If you would like to have an opportunity to have your poem/sonnet feature on our site, simply send us a comment on our Figment Page along with a brief bio about yourself and little bit about how you got into writing, what you enjoy about it, etc. You can also submit this info to us via our email at TheVirtualCavern@yahoo.com

We hope to hear from you soon!

So no Mexico mission trip for me this October. I took a new job offer at a call center and will be starting training in October.I felt like I did the right thing, but now I'm second guessing myself. I mean I turned down the job offer for the preschool, what was I thinking back then? Yes this is more money then I'd be making there and at my current job, but I'm hoping that more money is not my main motivator. ANYWAYS, I did feel at peace about going to Mexico the next day and when I read your response I felt even more peace about it. So I might go in the future. I also want to spend a month in Europe but that will use up most of my vacation time. *sighs*. I'm so glad you're updating your poetry collection. I have to go read more of it. It's nice having a break t just read. Oh and State Fair AND Renaissance Fair are this weekend. I'm trying to make some adjustments on the costume my mom made me. *can't wait to be done* Most important I'm growing my relationship with God...at least I'm trying to. Sorry for such a long wall post, I just needed to get my thoughts out because there are so many emotions going on right now and you've helped by listening and giving me feedback. I agree and think missions will change me when I finally get around to going. I need that fresh perspective for home and to just love and encourage people. Also travel! :)

Please pray for me, this costume xD, and my family. It's super draining everything that's been going on. Thank God I am not in the middle of everything. Anyways. Thanks again.

Happy Writing.

also, *what i found in foreign skies* is getting so many reactions out of me i'm going to have to stop myself from leaving comments until the end. i'm reading it so slow because i don't want to end. it's hard to find honest poetry with new ideas. love it.

Hey Sarah,

I'm thinking about going with my church on the Mexico mission trip next month. I've been praying about it. It would cost me one paycheck and I'd need to get a passport. Right now I'm focusing on getting a car and getting my own place. After we lost our house and I moved in with my friend, I've been focusing on "getting on my feet". My long term goal is to travel and I'm not sure if it's too soon to go on a mission trip. I'm going to keep praying, ask my adoptive fam what they think and write a list of what all my goals will cost and what I should do. I mean after I get my car I'm going to spend at least $100 on ballet classes, so money is not too much of an issue. I already have the money to get my first car. So really I just don't want to be rash and do the best thing.
