Talk to me!

Hey Ms. Headintheclouds! How are you doing? Things have been so crazy lately that I haven't had much time to get on here and write, though I am still updating "Thinks & Inks" regularly :)

What have you been up to?

I got to see the ocean for the first time over spring break a few weeks ago! Some friends of mine from my church went down to Florida and stayed there for a few days. I've seen pictures of the ocean, of course, but it doesn't do it justice. It stretches out for miles, clear blue with bright, white sand. Sand so soft it almost hurt. And palm trees! I didn't know Florida had palm trees xD it was so amazingly beautiful. The seagulls, the pelicans, walking to the Crab Shack every day for lunch haha. And getting to know all the girls better was especially sweet. One of them ended up getting engaged the next week! I'm hoping that our bonding time means that I get to be in her wedding ;) just kidding hehe. Have you ever been to the ocean before?

The school year is almost over, we have a little over a month left *does happy dance* and I think I can say that my first year of college was a success? I actually had to write a paper for my speech class recently on Antarctica and met a woman who has been there 3 times! I also had to do a poetry analysis on Robert Frost. I even told my English teacher about Figment and so she may have read some of my poetry >.< I'll find out this afternoon if she liked it or not.

Work is going well :) we have been super busy and I've been working a lot more (much to my back and feet's dismay haha) but I am starting to be able to talk to the customers more and I do feel much more comfortable then when I first started working at the restaurant. We have some new people who just started this week and they don't know anything because they're brand new. And it has been so sweet getting to be there for them and try and help them, made me think about how much help I needed when I first started working there.I literally asked people for help all the time, I was the worst haha >.<

But anyways, all of this to say, I hope you are doing well :) and I hope to talk to you soon!
