So……. every so often I go through those I’m following to look for recent activity. According to Figment it’s been over a year since you last updated something on here.

I know from your blog and Nano updates that you wrote about 28K or so words for “Cure Me.” Well, how about a CURE FOR ME? by posting some of those words???

Pretty please, with a cherry on top? Don’t make me grovel.

Hi Samantha,

I'm starting a chain of sorts, where one person recommends a few Figment writings to some friends and said friend (i.e. you right now) does the same, and hopefully (?) it'll go viral. So, care to help me out? Just c&p the below, replace with your own recommendations, and send them off. Thanks :)

Here are some of my favorite Figment writings:

On the Midnight Streets by Starflower: Steampunk novel-in-progress. It's a truly bewitching story and Starflower is a master of gorgeous metaphors, description, and general feels. Definitely for YA lovers.

The Poison by Queen of Air and Darkness: Horror short story. The atmosphere is horrifyingly, beautifully chilling, and you can feel the desperation of the MC. You can definitely see why it's a contest winner.

The Secretary by Maya St. Clair: Historical fantasy novel. This one is long and absolutely worth it. The feels and the voice are beautiful, and you'll start falling in love with the characters at once. Great for a holiday read, even if you don't like vampires. (These vampires are awesome, I promise you that.)

I hope you'll find these interesting! Now choose a few favorite works by someone else, send your suggestions to five other Figgies, and spread on the awesomeness :D

Yeah, I totally get what you mean about the original being very different from the new drafts; my list of edits (completed and planned) is well over 100 items. And I was browsing on Tumblr today and saw this photoset, which reminded me so much of your story:

Ooh, so Starflower is our mutual friend? That's really cool! Thanks so much for the compliment on my reviews and my writing, I'm feeling ridiculously awesome, ahaha.

By the way, I actually don't come on Figment that much, but I'd love it if we could chat through email—mine is alyssa[dot]carlier[at]gmail[dot]come, if you'd be so inclined. Please don't be creeped out by this message :S

Hi Samantha,

I'm the person who stalked you from your awesome blog :) It's great to meet someone else from Figment, especially a fellow Princess Bride fan. Also, it's an honor to meet Batman. *Joker grins*

All the best in writerly things,
