Hi! I’m working on a new novel called Vision Zero and I’m trying to get feedback to make it better. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if I already asked. Thanks!

I know how that feels XD I just got the concepts and the characters and the most basic plot done for my modern day fantasy. I think I'll wait to write it until the April Camp NaNoWriMo, though. I have a dystopian I'm trying to finish until then XD

Anyways, I can totally help with looking over that plot! I'd love to! May I ask, what type of fantasy is it? Vampire, Elves, Demigods, etc?

Hi! My name is Everest and I was wondering if you'd be interested in a swap! The book is called, The Virta Worlds: The Toy Maker, and is found on page 2 of my profile. Please message me on my Guest Book with the book you'd like to have me read in return, and I will put you on my swap list so I don't forget! (for more information about the story...) The Toy Maker follows a young boy named Legend Thomas Bartram into his new life and school in Chicago until one day he is sucked up into a virtual world and a mystical battle against the Sable. To read more, please look to the description.

Greetings Earthing!

I see you posted a question in the forums about building a fantasy world. I have come here to help you with your questions, and here is my response:

You mentioned modern-day fantasies, with worlds hidden in our own. I love doing this type of world, as many of my writings occur in my own little world I created, so I understand where you are coming from. Here is a few Ideas of mine that may help:

Another Dimension. Probably the easiest. Just have there be a portal or something that can transport them to another dimension in which your fantasy world exists.

Unseen By Everyone Except... This one is another simple solution. Just have your fantasy elements (speels, dragons, etc.) only be seen by those who belive, or have the fantasy qualities within themselves. Sort of like the Mist in Percy Jackson. Just add your own little spin and you are ready to go.

Actual Hidden Places. National Parks, restricted areas, anything like that where your fantasy elements can be hidden, use it! Think of places where no one would want to go, or are scared to. I personally used the Bermuda Triangle for my little project, but you get the picture.

Don't Hide It. This is probably my favorite, and the most creative. So, just for fun, let's say your fantasy element has something to do with dragons (I am obsessed with them therefore love using them as an example). So, your dragon goes to, say, a high school or something, and terrorizes the students. Nobody is willing to admit what they truly saw, as they are scared. Or they all seem to have that condition where people hallucinate the same thing at the same time (there's a fancy word for it, maybe you should look it up). Maybe the only people who admit it end up becoming conspiracy theorists, or something like that.

Was this helpful? Do you have any more questions? Feel free to contact me at any time, I am always open to helping other writers achieve their dreams!
