(this is a swap or free read request for whoever reads this)

Hey there!

So I entered the brandonsanderson contest which is reliant on hearts(a very bad and crazy idea which I have yet to know if I'll regret or not) and I need a bit of help. I'm aiming at 650 hearts and I have a long way to go. Could you please read(and heart, but only if you think it deserves it) Burning Rage? The deadline is December 19th. if you are open to swaps then I will probably get to returning it in a few weeks(as long as what you want me to read in return is about 1000 words or shorter), but if you're not, then would you mind doing a free read? It would be greatly appreciated either way.

Thanks:D

I'm sorry if I already asked you this, it's very hard to keep track.

(This is an open swap request to everyone. It doesn't matter to me if you're not the person I'm telling this to.)

Hey, there.

So yeah, I did the dreaded thing that you're not supposed to do on Figment: I entered a heart-based contest. The Brandon Sanderson one. I'm pretty sure you've heard of it.

*Takes a really, really, really long sigh*

Oh well.

Anyway, let's get down to business. I need to gain at least 250 hearts for my short story Demon in two days. A lot of people say this is impossible, but I'm going to try to accomplish this monumental task anyway. I mean, we're all writers, right? We'll do a lot of things that are hard to pursue this dream of ours. That's what I'm trying to do with this contest.

So, if you read my story Demon and leave a comment, then I'll read one of yours that is 1,000 words or less. And I'm sorry, but I will not go first. If you ask me to go first, then I will simply delete your post on my wall. I'm not trying to be harsh; I just don't have the time to read your story immediately.

If you do swap with me, then I'll get to your short story or poem before the new year if my story ends up getting 100 hearts or less. However, if my story ends up getting 200 hearts or less, then I will get to your story by the end of January. If my short story ends up getting 400 hearts or less, then I will get to your story by the end of February. I understand this is a long time to wait, but unlike a ton of other people on this site, I'll read your story in its entirety and I will give you a legitimate comment (or a review if I really liked it). Since there will be a lot of swaps I will have to complete, it's going to take me a while to read everyone's stories.

So yeah, if you read all of that then high five! You're awesome. And now I don't know what to say so . . . Yeah. Have a good day, no matter your decision! :D

[If I posted this already, then please delete this. I apologize profusely.]

Good day to you, Leann.

I assume that, being a member of Figment.com, you are a writer, and there's a fair likelihood that you're a reader as well. Being a member of Figment.com also means that you've probably had to put up with an endless stream of *shudder* wall swaps--and here's another. Kind of.

I've taken on the endeavor of entering the Brandon Sanderson contest, which is unfortunately a heart-based contest. So, here I am, on my virtual knees seeking your lovely time to check out Forbidden Fruit, and heart it ~if and only if~ you like it. I don't want fake hearts. This is not a heart swap. I want to earn hearts by being worthy of yours.

In return for your precious time and opinion, I'll give back--thricefold. I'll check out some of your stuff, give my critiques and praise, and, if I like it (and I probably will), promote it & you on my blog--if I love it, elsewhere as well. Not to mention, my verified author status has gained me a bit of a following--so it might be worth it.

In either case, keep being darling.

Cheers,

Isabella Rogge

TL;DR: Aiiii darling, honest swap?
