They speak English in a lot of Africa, believe it or not, and it sounds a lot like British English, and have a lot of English culture, mixed with contemporary African culture. So, moving to the U.S. from a place like Nigeria wouldn't be too jarring of a cultural shift as, say, moving from Sudan, Chad, or Mozambique. I'm a geog major, and we do a lot regarding migration and cultural norms, so I know a lot about that. But thanks for the comment!
